Greetings Brothers and Friends of the Council
Father Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus with one mission: to follow Jesus Christ, and challenged us to remain committed to the Order’s mission and point the world to Christ. His original vision for the Order was to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families in his parish in Connecticut. Over the last century that vision has grown into a world-wide organization of Catholics serving a boundless variety of worthy causes.
Over our most recent full Columbian year, the Knights have engaged in countless charitable endeavors:
>Donating more than $5.3 million to help people affected by natural disasters, including hurricanes Fiona and Ian.
>Marking the 20th anniversary of the Order’s partnership with the Global Wheelchair Mission.
>Giving more than $3.7 million in scholarships and support for priests.
>Contributing more than $21 million and countless volunteer hours to Special Olympics.
>Giving coats to children in need through the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program; Knights are on track to donate the program’s one-millionth coat.
Locally, Pope Pius XII Council has had a long, generous history of donating to dozens of our own Parish and community-based and pro-life organizations like Momma’s House, in both service and financial support.
In addition, we offer direct support to our Brother Knights with need and many products that serve to protect and support their families.
Thank you and God bless.
Anthony Spinelli, Grand Knight
