Momma’s House Collection

Pope Pius XII Council is sponsoring a Parish-wide collection of most frequently need-
ed items for MOMMA’S House at all Masses at St. Raphael’s on Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22, 2023.

MOMMA’s House is the only long-term Mother & Child transitional housing program
on Long Island, providing homeless, pregnant young women and their babies shelter and a
path to a responsible, independent life. MOMMA’S House, which began in 1986, is currently home to 15 young mothers and their families, in four residences, who rotate through this extraordinary support system.

Most Needed Items:
Laundry Detergent: Household Cleaners
Baby Wipes; Baby Diapers (Sizes 4, 5 or 6)
Paper Products (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels or Napkins)
Financial Contributions (to assist with monthly household expenses)

This collection coincides with the National March for Life taking place Friday, January 20 in Washington, DC and marches in other cities across the nation. The Knights of Columbus have supported the March and the prolife movement from their inceptions.

NOW, more than ever, Knights are called to STAND UP FOR LIFE, by helping to support their local pregnancy centers in providing young mothers with a safe, clean environment to bring their babies into the world.
